well well well

It's been about 8 months since I've even seen a xanga page so I kind of incidently stumbled back onto my own page and figured I'd do something about it.

Anyways, to make an otherwise worthless update into something productive, this is the result of about 30 minutes of work down by my computer and continuning a musical idea that hit me in the middle of Easter church service. (I don't know how either, so don't ask!)

It's a rather rough recording (it's a draft) but I am really excited about it because it features distorted piano throughout a large part of it. This is also something very different from anything that I've done before. Previously I did all my rythmical ideas coming from a "drum-kit" stand point. Obviously here, the percussion is mostly computer generated, but in a more "trippy" way, I guess you could say

And yes, I know that the acoustic guitar in the opening is off beat. (Also phasered)

It's about 8 megs and 4 and a half minutes long. All I ask is that you at least listen through it once, and if you want you can say how bad or how good it is (hint: just ate a pinecone) It's .mp3 format, but I figured that'd be better since not everyone can be .ogg vorbis supporters/compatible. (I'm looking at you, Steve Jobs)

Also happy easter and stuff.

It's been over a month since I lasted updated, so I guess it's been longer over-due since then.

Anyways, I haven't really updated because there really hasn't been much to update about. A lot of the same kind of things going on. I'm not one to complain or talk about school so much, and that's really the only thing that has been happening over this time, so that's part of why.

I don't expect to be updating this anytime much in the following days as well, so as right now, I'm guessing that this page is defunct until farther notice.

I'm guessing that too many people won't notice away

It's pretty nice having all this free time.  I just got around to converting about 30 .wma files on my computer to .mp3.   (Now my winamp won't lock up whenever i try listening to them!)   Seriously though, .wma's are the most annoying thing that has ever happened to digital music.

Just been out driving some (bwahahaha), and watching the snow.  It's strange how all these stations and weather reports are claiming for high snow fall, but it's not even laying.   At least around my house it isn't laying.   The first snowfall of the year, and it's on a Saturday.  How useless is that?   Maybe (and of course,) hopefully the snowfall will begin to pick up later.

Just as a clarification, (as I have been asked this question a few times) I do officially have my permit now.
